A severe, rapid mechanical knocking noise, approximately four to five knocks per second, has been coming from the locked HVAC and water-heater closet for five days. The noise continues regardless of whether the HVAC or hot water is in use.
The persistent knocking noise has made it impossible for me to sleep in the apartment, and I have been forced to sleep outside because the unit is not reasonably usable at night.
Management has received repeated written notice and sent maintenance twice, but the issue remains unresolved. Work orders have been marked completed without a repair, and no licensed HVAC, plumbing, or water-heater technician has inspected the equipment.
I am requesting an interior housing-code inspection. Please route this case to APD Code Enforcement or the appropriate city department if a different service category is required.
