27-289.7 Prohibited Signs Enumerated

ILLEGAL SIGNS SR #26-34569 - I am reporting a newly installed private sign post at 2914 W Estrella St., Tampa, FL 33629. The post has been installed in the grass strip between the sidewalk and roadway, approximately 23 feet from the curb, and appears intended to support a private property identification sign. The sign itself has not yet been installed. I believe this may violate City of Tampa Code 27-289.10(a), Signs on right-of-way, which prohibits a sign from being erected, placed, installed, affixed, or otherwise located upon, within, or encroaching on a City of Tampa right-of-way. In addition, 27-289.7(a) provides that any sign not specifically permitted or authorized by the Code is prohibited. I respectfully request that the City verify whether this location is within the City right-of-way and whether the property owner has obtained the required authorization or permit for this installation. I have attached a photograph showing the posts location relative to the sidewalk and curb.
