Westin Buckhead EV Charger Installation (COM) -- This project consists of the installation of sixteen (16) Tesla Universal Wall Connector Level 2 EV charging stations at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta, located at 3391 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326, within the hotel's multi-level below-grade parking garage (Lobby Level and Level 2). Four (4) chargers will be mounted on two (2) pedestal bases in the valet parking area at the Lobby Level; the remaining twelve (12) chargers will be wall-mounted on the B2 (L2) parking level. Electrical work includes installation of a new 600A, 3-phase, 600A main breaker panel (NEMA 3R) on the B2 level, fed by a new 225 kVA 480/277V-208/120V step-down transformer, with associated feeders, branch circuit wiring, and a new utility meter and disconnect. Power is sourced from the existing 2,000 kVA pad-mounted utility transformer, supplied by Georgia Power. Each charger is served by a dedicated 60A/2-pole circuit at 208V, with individual EVSE loads treated as continuous loads per NEC Article 625. All work will be performed by licensed electrical contractors in accordance with the 2023 National Electrical Code, Article 625, and City of Atlanta building, zoning, and electrical code requirements. This is a Georgia Power Make Ready-supported project, with the utility's Electric Transportation Program providing funding support for a portion of the underlying electrical infrastructure.
