Highly Hazardous -- Called to report an issue at mother's senior living facility, Friendship Towers; AC has not been working in the entire building for months, going on a year. Advised while there she saw the manager arrived on site; advised her mom spoke with the manager mother was told there was nothing she could do about the AC; advised building heat is showing 98 degrees; advised fans were provided but it's just circulating heat; advised there is mold in the building; advised several windows in the building do not have screens and advised; advised security was rude with her and even acknowledged it was hot advised that is something to handled at a later date, advised residents have been complaining for months nothing has been done, advised residents have expressed they have filed several complaints. Advised she slept over in the past and one elevator was out, and staff became upset with residents for contacting the fire department; residents are scared of retaliation. The residents are being intimidated with write-ups that can lead to eviction by staff after complaints from residents about building-related issues.
Advised she would rather sleep outside; it feels better on the outside of the building. Building exceeds 85 degrees; advised concerned about health issues that can cause heat stroke. Building has poor ventilation. Apartment number not provided since the issue is affecting the entire building. CS
