OVERGROWTH SR #26-31992 - When I spoke to a City Inspector last year, they informed me that because there is a chain linked fence one foot away from my privacy fence that I had to maintain that area. For the past year I have pulled all of the overgrown brush and cleared this area at least three times this past year and the weeds and brush still grow through the chain link and over my privacy fence and is causing my wood fence to buckle. This lot is right behind my back fence. the house has been vacant for over 10 years and the weeds and brush continue to climb and grow through my privacy fence causing damage. I have filed multiple complaints about this property over the past several years. The property owner is intentionally utilizing a loophole: they mow only the front portion of the lot facing the public right-of-way to make the property appear compliant to street-level visual inspections.However, the back half of their lot remains entirely unmaintained. The overgrowth consists of heavy brush, weeds, and vines that are pressing against my privacy fence. This severe overgrowth is now causing active structural damage to my property.Because this violation cannot be seen from the street, I am hereby granting the City Code Enforcement Inspector explicit permission to enter my property and backyard at 3613 W Pearl Avenue to visually confirm, document, and photograph the violation over my fence line.
