Posey - ALTERATION (RES) -- We propose moving the existing, non-load bearing wall (See Engineers Letter), between the hall bathroom and the kitchen by 16” to expand the bathroom allowing the shower to be expanded to accommodate a 5’ tub-shower combo. We will also be replacing the existing vanity with a double basin vanity. The toilet will be repositioned to face the hall wall next to the new vanity. We will add a larger vanity light and reposition the existing light over the shower. All other features including the vent fan will remain as existing.
The Kitchen portion of the renovation will entail removing all cabinets and appliances as shown in the plan. We propose replacing and moving the location of the existing appliances and sink as shown in the plans, as well as extending the cabinets and counter space along the sidewall which is also shown in the plans.
To facilitate these changes, we propose removing the existing column between the dining and kitchen areas as shown in the demo plans, then installing a new triple 16” LVL per the specific scope prescribed in the stamped letter from the Engineering Firm of Koblasz & Kennison which has been submitted.
