Bigby-General -- We will be performing a service upgrade on the home. Tree fell during the storms on Saturday and broke the service wire coming into the home. Unfortunately due to new code and the damage of the wire itself we will not be able to make what’s there work and will have to bring to new standard code. This includes a meter main combo on the outside of the home with a new and proper grounding system. Grounding system is two ground rods drove 8 foot deep and 6 foot apart and grounded back to the first means of disconnect. We will also bond to the incoming water line within 5ft entry of the home as well as bond the hot and cold at the water heater. We will replace the panel with a new square d qo panel and install afci/gfci breakers into the panel. We will install whole home surge protection in the panel and add smoke detectors where required. All work will be permitted and inspected and have two years parts and labor warranty.
