972 Astor Avenue SW Stormwater Maintenance and Restoration Project (COM) (CC) -- The City of Atlanta (City) Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has received reports of flooding in a residential area near the intersection of Astor Avenue SW and Evans Drive SW which causes excessive runoff along the driveway at 972 Astor Avenue. In addition, the stormwater culvert which extends under Astor Avenue SW and conveys the Middle Branch South River is assumed to be undersized and contributing to flooding in the area. As such, the roadway drainage conveyance requires maintenance. R2T conducted a stormwater analysis of the area and are proposing restoration including replacing stormwater inlets, proposed stormwater infrastructure, a new culvert under Astor Ave, and roadway restoration within the limits of disturbance.
