Driveway visibility and traffic hazard: The overgrowth blocks the line of sight when exiting my driveway, making it extremely difficult to see oncoming traffic. This is especially dangerous because the city recently shifted the road lane markings, which appears to have moved traffic closer to my driveway entrance. As a result, the unmaintained vegetation creates a serious risk that vehicles exiting my driveway could be struck by oncoming traffic that is not visible until it is too late.
Changed neighborhood conditions: In the past, this area included more empty lots. However, there are now active residential homes and families living here, including mine. The city-owned parcel needs to be cut back fully and maintained to a safe, acceptable standard, not simply trimmed along the edge of the road.
Wildlife and pest concerns: I have a young child, and the dense brush has become a habitat for pests and wild animals. Foxes, insects, and other wildlife have been seen in the overgrowth directly adjacent to our property line, creating an immediate safety concern for my child and other children in the area. → None
