JPS Health Network - Medical Outpatient Building
Crown of Building Signage
The new 11-story JPS Medical Outpatient Building is currently under construction at the corner of W Magnolia Avenue and Main Street. It will house outpatient clinic services on floors 1 through 9 with 10 being shell space and 11 being primarily penthouse and roof. Pedestrian access will be primarily from the attached Main Street Garage. There is also a drop off and entrance along Main Street.
The signage scope for the building mounted signs at the crown of the building consist of three signs: two illuminated JPS logos, one on the north elevation and one on the east elevation. The north elevation sign is 10’-0” square, and the east elevation sign is 12’-0” square. Both will be slightly recessed into the precast building panels. Electrical power will be from within the building and not visible from the ground. Aluminum and acrylic construction of the logo signs will be the same as in the logo replacement project as approved by both Near South Side and the City.
The third sign consists of illuminated individual face lighted channel letters mounted to a raceway on the east elevation. The intention is that this would be a future donor name the cap height of which will be determined when the donor name is available. All three signs are mounted to the building facades behind the property line and do not encroach on city property.

The project consists of the construction of a 10-story medical outpatient building with a mechanical penthouse. The penthouse currently occupies approximately 43% of the total roof area.

Foundation, underground utilities, and site modifications for an emergency generator yard to serve the medical outpatient building. This submission is only for the foundation of the generator yard and replacement of an exterior stair for a nearby existing JPS medical office building (called JPOC 1350) . The generator and generator yard enclosure are part of a later submittal for the free-standing, high-rise medical outpatient building on the John Peter Smith (JPS) Hospital campus.
