Property Maintenance -- **AKA 675 Moores Mill Rd *** - severe overgrowth, including excessively tall grass and dense unmanaged brush, on the city-owned property - 675 Moores Mill Road NW Water Pump Station property., The current condition of this public land has created a serious safety hazard for my family, neighbors, and the surrounding community for the following reasons:
Driveway visibility and traffic hazard: The overgrowth blocks the line of sight when exiting my driveway, making it extremely difficult to see oncoming traffic. This is especially dangerous because the city recently shifted the road lane markings, which appears to have moved traffic closer to my driveway entrance. As a result, the unmaintained vegetation creates a serious risk that vehicles exiting my driveway could be struck by oncoming traffic that is not visible until it is too late.
Changed neighborhood conditions: In the past, this area included more empty lots. However, there are now active residential homes and families living here, including mine. The city-owned parcel needs to be cut back fully and maintained to a safe, acceptable standard, not simply trimmed along the edge of the road.
Wildlife and pest concerns: I have a young child, and the dense brush has become a habitat for pests and wild animals. Foxes, insects, and other wildlife have been seen in the overgrowth directly adjacent to our property line, creating an immediate safety concern for my child and other children in the area.
